Crime Reduction and Problem Solving

Course Aims

The training is designed to give delegates the underpinning knowledge on the theory and practical elements of the Problem Solving models and to practice those skills in a safe learning environment.

Who should attend

For anyone who is working within Community Safety and associated partnerships who are responsible for the reduction/prevention of crime or who may need to use ‘problem solving’ as part of their role.

  • Introduction of role and responsibilities
  • Implications of the Crime & Disorder Act 1998 and other relevant legislation
  • Principles of Problem Solving
  • Problem solving models SARA, PAT, RAT & ARC
  • How to conduct a site survey
  • Practical exercise

Qualification

The Institute of Legal Executives (ILEX) Paralegal Vocational Qualification.
