NVQ Level 2 for Community Wardens

Course Aims

To provide those employed in the role of Community Warden with a National Vocational Qualification. The Qualification we offer is the new version 1978-01 which became available from City & Guilds in December 2008.

Those who are engaged in the role of Community Warden.

Course Content

  • To complete 8 units (6 mandatory and 2 optional units)
  • THE MANDATORY UNITS INCLUDE:
  • 001 Ensure your own actions reduce the risk to health and safety
  • 002 Plan, organise and improve your work.
  • 003 Contribute to maintaining safe and secure community environments.
  • 004 Develop Customer Relations.
  • 005 Receive and provide information within the community
  • 006 Support community needs
  • OPTIONAL UNITS:
  • 007 Maintain the physicals environment of estates
  • 008 Maintain observation of parking areas
  • 009 Identify and respond to breaches in parking regulations
  • 010 Produce documents
  • 011 Minimise and deal with aggressive and abusive behaviour
  • 012 Provide witness statements of breaches of law and regulations
  • 013 Communicate information using mobile voice communication equipment
  • 014 Promote equality and value diversity
  • 015 Make sure your actions aim to protect the environment.
  • 016 Record information relevant to your role.
  • 017 Contribute to resolving community issues.
  • 018 Contribute to providing an initial response to incidents.
  • 019 Present information to courts or other hearings.
