Course Aims

To provide handlers previously trained to level 3 with an update and thorough knowledge of the legal, organisational, managerial and ethical issues involved in the use of Covert Human Intelligence Source (CHIS) as an intelligence resource.
To provide an understanding of the importance of accurate and detailed briefing and de-briefing of source managers/handlers.
To provide participants with the techniques and tools for managing, recruiting and running CHIS.
To improve handlers knowledge of tradecraft skills
Provide an understanding regarding the completion of CHIS applications and other necessary paperwork to the required standard.

Institute of Legal Executives (ilex) Paralegal Vocational Qualification.

Objective examination based on Legislation, Codes of Practice-CHIS and Manual of Standards - CHIS
