ELMS Associates Limited was established in 2003 as an alternative independent training provider for the police service which has developed to encompass the needs of those employed by local authorities involved in Community Safety and Crown Enforcement Agencies.

The company was formed by Michael Wilkinson a former police officer who served with Durham Constabulary who worked in uniform, C.I.D and finally in the Criminal Justice Department. Michael holds degrees in Laws. , Management and Education. He has worked with Darlington College delivering and assessing management and legal courses.

He has been a guest speaker at the Crime Reduction College in Easingwold and is a guest speaker at the Scottish Police Training Centre Tulliallan in Scotland on Data Protection & CCTV. He is also responsible for the design development and delivery of a number of programmes which led to qualifications.

ELMS is committed to providing accreditted training, which is practical based to give candidates both the underpinning knowledge, but also the practical elements which allow them to be more confident in their role.Every candidate is provided with up to date materials, advice on 'best practice', guideance on further information and support through and beyond the assessment process.The health, safety and welfare of candidates attending courses is an upper most consideration to ensure that the whole learning process although challenging is an enjoyable one. The venues are selected with these considerations in mind and represent real value.

ELMS has the capacity and resources to provide training including assessment to organisations of all sizes through our comprehensive associates programme.

All of our associates hold the requisite qualifications have current experiences and expertise for their particular subject area. Our associates include those who are currently working or have recently worked and recognised for their specialist knowledge and practical application to the workplace.
